The sinners are doing well: the saints are not

interdictor's LJ made me laugh, albeit in black humor way.
"- The strip clubs are open on Bourbon Street.
"- The Saints fumbled away another game."
Now I *know* the Saints here is the Louisiana football team, but I couldn't resist reading some mischievous Catholic humor into it, as in "Hm. Does the fact that the saints are fumbling stuff up have anything to do with the strip joints reopening?" I bet Walker Percy would have similar thoughts... Not that I see anything wrong in strip-teasing for your spouse in the privacy of your own home, though I know some extremely morally uptight people would disagree with me. That's okay: they're entitled to their opinion, I'm entitled to mine. I don't remember anything in canon law that says all your intimate encounters have to be PIV, missionary position, lights out, under the covers. Why not have a little fun once in a while to keep the fires lit between you and your spouse? It's stripping in public or semi-public, in front of a bunch of total strangers that's morally objectionable.
