Your comp just shuts off if the power goes? Evvvilll PCs...if the power goes kaput with my machine, it switches to a battery back-up so you can save your work, etc. That's for a laptop- I *think* it's the same case with a desktop model, I seem to recall it being so.
You're getting your Mac soon...just keep chanting that to yourself...
