So, my dad is on an unofficial vacation: he starts his new job on Monday, so he has the next few days off (though unfortunatly, I have to work on Saturday :8^( ). This morning, we went up to Northampton Beach in New Hampshire for another "breakfast on the beach". But unfortunately, I was almost too wiped to enjoy it since my sinuses are acting up on account of the horrible humidity we're having, and therefore, I didn't sleep too good last night. I don't get it: this is the second half of August when we usually start having nice, autumn-like weather (I've noticed the leaves on some of the trees starting to show a whisker of color...), not sticky, steamy stuff that belongs in July. Unless this is payback because we had such a cool, comfortable summer so far. I hope this weather clears up by the beginning of September, when/if Mark and I go to the SciFi Convention: what's Trinity without her trenchcoat?

Mom read the first of the "Griffin and Sabine" books: she liked it a lot! She says she's gonna reccommend it to her penpals; and she also said that Griffin reminded her a lot of "Douglas", an artist who used to go to Mass at Holy Trinity and whom I had a terrible, pointless crush on at one point. I guess that means "Douglas", like Griffin, has to figure out what really matters to him....
