Two more days till Christmas
VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
I'm going to be offline tomorrow (Thursday) night, so I won't be availible for chatting. I won't be availible Friday night, either; and Saturday night looks *highly* questionable as well.
>>>We now return to our regularly scheduled LJ entry.<<<
Whew! Yet another wacky Wednesday: Besides work this afternoon, I nipped into Lowell this morning, *intending* to print out some emails for my mother, at the CyberCafe, but that, alas, is closed until the end of January. So... I had to trek up to the Pollard Library (where I finally managed to get my hands on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's "Good Omens") and print them out there, plus do a little maintenance on varius websites.
On the way back, I nipped into the "record" store around the corner from us, looking for CD gift wrap (They may be small, but they're harder to wrap than big boxes, so I tend to get the pre-made mylar sleeves for them). I was also hoping they'd have the other Christmas album by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, as I just recently got "The Christmas Attic"; I knew they had a copy of "Christmas Eve and Other Stories", but at first glance, it looked like someone had beaten me to it. But then I looked on another display of Christmas CDs, and there it was! (Album review to come...)
I finally have all the glass balls on the side of our tree facing the carpetted living room floor, I just have to put the odds and ends (ie: Hallmark Keepsakes, wooden snowmen, fish made of woven ribbon from my mom's penpal from the Philippines, etc) on the side facing the hardwood floor in the dining room. If you haven't read my entry for last Christmas in my diaryland.com diary, I'll explain: We put our Christmas tree in one of two open archways that connect the living room with the dining room, so you can see it from both rooms. I'll put the odds n' ends on tomorrow night: I gotta finish decorating my not-so-little tree upstairs. It fills the whole space of one of my windows! I just finished putting the lights on it, and the bugger took two 100-bulb sets of lights, as well as a 50-bulb set!
I've got a rough schedule planned out:
Thursday evening: Finish decorating my tree and the one downstairs.
Friday afternoon: Decorate house, start wrapping presents.
Friday night: Finish wrapping presents.
Of course, this is all subject to change, but you get the idea. Mind you, I'm no micro-manager: I just like to budget my time so I can fit everything in.
