Into the homestretch with "Smoke of Satan"

I'm hoping to get this finished tonight, but it may not happen since I have to go out and buy a new fan for my room: the one I'd been using died a ridiculous death. I go to turn it on and while the motor started humming, the blades refused to turn, unless I put it on high. Even then, the blades started cranking at about one full turn every two seconds. Like the resourceful person I am, I tried coaxing it to turn faster by blowing on the blades. No such luck. Since then, I've had to carry the one working table fan back and forth from my room to the computer room, since I'm more comfortable writing in my room than trying write in the study. Though I probably should just bite the bullet and work in here...

And the house has been shaking due to the road work in progress (they're widening my street, right at the intersection). And Oskar the cockatiel is scared out of his wits because a family of robins has made a nest in the bush outside the window where his cage stands. And my dad is tinkering with the Flag of Lights, since some of the bulbs on it burnt out/got damaged. He cleared the brush in front of the trees where it'll hang come the Fourth of July, and already a few people passing by have asked him if he's going to turn it on again.

Oddly enough, I've been having the same kind of weather over on my side of the pond, although living near the sea probably takes the edge off as does having high ceilings. Here's a tip, have a really cold shower and by the time the heat catches up with you, you'd have gotten about half a chapter down. That's the theory anyway.

The previous post is mine by the way.

Actually, I have some substantial parts of the last chapter already drafted, it's filling in between those bits and pieces which has me wracking my brain a little. I'm coming up on a very complicated action scene (Demons coming up between the cracks in the floorboards, big demon/fallen archangel crashing in through a window, possessed bishop acting strangely and aggressively... all kinds of good stuff happening), so choreographing it has been a leetle bit of a challenge, but I got some of it all visualized when I was soaking in a nice cool bath tonight.

::Off to work on connecting the bits and pieces...::
