And I'm not just saying this because I'm a Mac girl- I've used Hewlett-Packard computers before, and they are HORRIBLE. They're like supermarket generics, they're just...there. My PC-platform friends even think they're abominations. Dell is actually the worst, I think, followed by HP and then Gateway. HPs in my experience crash for no damn good reason, have sloooow mouse-reaction times, don't save very well...they're just really unpleasant machines to use. Macs (and again, I'm not just saying this cos I'm a Mac girl, my PC friends think so to) are actually the easiest, most user-friendly machines on the market. I jokingly refer to them as "computers for the slow"- big graphic icons for everything, obvious names for files, no knowlege of coding or repartioning of hard drives necessary...in the long run, you'll really be better off with a Mac. The platform is super-super easy to use and get used to and it's better for graphics and writing programmes. PCs are for budding engineers, Macs are for the rest of us. But please, for the love of all things good and holy...do NOT get a Hewlett-Packard computer.
DO...NOT...GET A HP!
