Explain something for me...

Why but *WHY* does every Christmas made-for-TV movie have to do with romance at Christmas?! Especially since Christmas romances only remind me of meeting my ex-fiance at Christmas, which brings back all the painful stuff like a hail of needles shot out of a grenade launcher, as well as the good things that happened, which makes me wish I had someone to make me feel that good again, but who'd treat me the right way and not try to control me, or try and get in between me and my family.

I feel like writing a letter to all these network producers and telling them enough with the Christmas romance movies.

Try A Christmas Story. No romance (except maybe the married relationship between the parents), just a lot of wry Christmas fun focussed on the life of a child who wants a Range Rider BB Gun under the tree on Christmas morning. :-)

Heh, heh! I just got the book with the short sketches that movie was based on.

I saw some made-for-TV movie last year that was a hilarious remake of A Christmas Carol. Then too are the old ones, like Mickey's Christmas Carol, and the Jetson's Christmas Carol, and the Garfield Christmas Special...

...what?
