matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code ("Welcome to my Life")

Edited for angst

There used to be a really wangsty entry here, but I edited it to keep you all from worrying about me.

All I'll say is that I got some bad news from Social Security: they rejected my claim. I'll try again.

Yes - DO keep trying with Social Security. You might even want to engage a lawyer. That's what I had to do, because my first application for disability was rejected, too. Lawyers who specialise in Social Security disability may be found in your phone book. They take their payment from the lump sum you receive when you are awarded your benefits. I have no idea what state you are in. Were you in California, I could recommend the lawyer I used, who is located in San Francisco.

But seriously, keep trying and appealing. The bastards deny darned near everyone on the first try. ::hugs::

Good luck!
