Mom's Birthday and more

Whew! I was one busy little bee today: I had a dental appointment at noon: no cavities! Then I had a typical short shift (3 to 7 p.m.)... The mail was extremely late showing up: it didn't come till after I had left for work, and thus when I got back, I found two packages waiting for me: one Christmas present (to be disclosed at another time... ;8^) ), and Book 7 of "The Sandman".

The country club across the brook has put on the Christmas music for their clock-tower chimes: I was heading out to work today and I heard them playing "Jingle Bells"!

And this evening was my mom's birthday: Dad got her a chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream (I distracted her while he lit the candles on it, in the other room); I'm in the process of getting her a present...
