Not as productive as I wanted it to be...

I was intending to put my day off to good use and get a lot of writing done. I barely managed to knock out a page of "Angry Transhuman". I managed to finish (and type) a ficlet for the "Matrix" RPG Laurie and a few of us are putting together. Nice bit of slashy goodness, and I'm amazed that it came out well at all since for personal reasons I can't discuss here, I'm having a hard time with slash as an artform right now.

I started reading Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's "Good Omens" this afternoon. I can't figure out if it's satirizing religion in general (particularly Christianity, which is liable to set off my religion-bashing-ometer) or if it's just a rip on books like the Goddamned "Left Behind" series (in which case: Bring It On, Boys!!!) I've been reading anything and everything by Neil Gaiman, as I have yet to order the next "Sandman" book (one of my priorities in Lowell tomorrow), and I still got it bad for the guy; if you can't have the guy, read his books. I read "Coraline" last week, which reads like a dark answer to "Alice in Wonderland", plus I finished reading "Neverwhere" the week before and passed it on to my mom. I'm hoping to buy "American Gods" tomorrow, since someone appears to be sitting on the Tewksbury Library's copy of it...

And I wish I could stop writing ficlets for the "Matrix" RPG Laurie, Puck and I are starting (phooey on paying $10 a month for "The Matrix Online" once that starts next year), but it's like Lay's Potato Chips: you can't eat just one. I've got one on my clip board, in a state of being written, and one on the page stand beside my comp, waiting to be typed up...
