Wow... Yesterday's depression is gone, and the Houseparty is back and noisier than ever (Enzo doing phone pranks; the Merv getting annoying calls from his in-laws; Flood and Ref bickering; Constantine getting on my case in the worst way possible, the way he always does when I get low). I don't know what I did, but I'll do it again the next time I get like I did yesterday!
And the promised movie-review:
***1/2 out of *****
I have to confess to not exactly being the biggest fan of "Star Wars"; it didn't have the impact on me that, say, the "Matrix" series did, and it hasn't been like, "Hey, it's like what I'd think of!" the way the LOTR movies were. I'm more a fan of the original trilogy than of the prequels...
But I have to admit, I was swept away by Episode III. Wow! So dark and tragic, yet with so much hope at the same time. The Obi Wan/Anakin light sabre fight on the volcanic planet was nothing short of hellish (There's been so many hellish images in movies this year, I've dubbed this the Year from Hell). And if I ever doubted that Ewan McGregor didn't quite fill Alec Guinness's shoes, boy, did I ever have another thought coming!
( Cut for spoilers/shocker )
