matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Merovingian)
YAY!!! Neil Gaiman will be in Boston sometime this year, promoting his new book "Anansi Boys"

::Kicks Google for the gawdawful *SMALL* pictures of Lambert Wilson I kept finding when I ran my latest pic trawl a few minutes ago:: (Hey, I needed a Lambert luuurve fix...)

And I'm scratching my head trying to come up with names for the DegSep characters I'm shaping, namely, Persephone and the Merv's maddening sister- and brother-in-law (Perse's sister and said sister's husband, who are the reverse of Perse and the Merv: She's somewhat loud and bossy, he's a bit put-upon) and their brood of offspring (Three sons, two daughters; one of the sons hits on Ref at one point), who show up after the Maintainers start rampaging.

Finally got to the library here in town (in the middle of all this rain...), partly to take out more books, partly to see about volunteering/getting a job there. If I was going to volunteer, I'd have to go in during the day and speak to one of the head librarians; as for getting a job there, I'd have to go to the Town Hall and see if they have any positions availible. I'm working on this, just as I'm working on getting stuff published via Lulu.com: if you look at my link list on this LJ, you'll notice I just put up a link to my future homepage there, though as of now, it's very much under construction.

But, as for the books I got out:

--Susanna Clarke's "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell", which from what I've heard is an excellent historical fantasy novel.

--Bertrand Russell's "The History of Western Philosophy"; I needed to stretch my mind with some philosophical ideas, so this seemed to fit the bill.

--Clive Cussler's "Sahara", since I just saw the movie, and I'm curious as to why Mr. Cussler is litigation-filing mad about the script for it...
