matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Constantine)
Worked on a DegSep-related ficlet today: an account of Emily Anderson's sudden self-substantiation, and the emotional fallout left behind among her loved ones. The POV jumps around a bit, at least in the draft, but I'm having fun with this: One of the POVs is from a three-month old Blaise de Merovee who's wondering where one of his mommy's helpmates is.

Went to the Tewksbury Library tonight: renewed "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell", and I traded in the copy of "Sahara" that I'd taken out last time: the binding was broken. Also took out:

--Candace Bushnell's "Sex in the City" (The copy I got seemed to have strayed in from the Newburyport library. Wierd.), which I just started skimming through: I'm finding it at one in the same time appalling and hysterical.

--Lauren Weisberger's "The Devil Wore Prada", which I've been hunting down for months: an exasperatedly funny novel about a young woman's hellish experience working for a hotsty-totsy magazine editor.

And we finally got a break from the nasty heat and humidity we'd had for a solid week. The temp was all of 57 degrees this afternoon. I'll take that over 89 degrees and humidity so bad it packs up my sinuses.

Watch for something special coming soon on this LJ, something I haven't posted here since February... if Photobucket will stop causing my browser to freeze as solid as a brick...

Edited to Add, 12.22 am., June 15th: Grrr... whoever invented spyware, I want to *KILL* them... my comp started acting wierd even after I ran a scan, killed some bugs, restarted it, etc. though it seems to be fine for now...

::Now watching the comp like a hawk...::
