Pecking away at Part Two...

I've got the sections of "L'Homme Fatal" laid out (Three parts and an "interlude"). I'm roughly calling them "Birth", "Life", "Freedom" (the "interlude", which may go after the first section, I haven't decided yet...), and "Death". I finished writing most of the first part today, and I'm knocking around with the interlude: I just gotta write the sex scene ("This is the sex scene. It stays." -- the Wachowski Brothers' note on the script for "Bound") and a couple other bits. The next section is gonna be tough, as I'm showing how the mysterious protagonist "Yves Merovee" manages to settle in among his patron's millieu and how they react to this rather odd young man... What's tough is that it takes place in the Second Matrix, in the years leading up to the rise of the first One, so I'm trying to pinpoint what year(s) this might be taking place. The first part I deliberately made rather timeless, but I want to be more specific in the next part... we'll see how this pans out.

Insane Bus System

LRTA = Lowell Regional Transit Authority or Lunatics Running Terrible Antics?

Today was the first day of the new bussing system. The bus to Lowell does not go downtown any more: Now it goes to the Gallegher Terminal. You have to take a shuttle bus from there to downtown, but I think I worked out a quick n' dirty way to get to downtown without having to add ten minutes on the shuttle bus: the bus goes down a street that goes past one corner of the MCC campus, so I'll hop off there... if they'll let me: they're wierd about letting you off in odd places.

Thus, going downtown was more of a nightmare than usual. I'm frankly pissed off with the changes, but I guess I'll just have to live with them.
