Day of rest and recharging batteries

I've been feeling a little burnt out from work and from writing all these fics for the 31_days challenges, so I took it easy today. Read a little ("The Sandman" and a little "Hellblazer" as a chaser, as well as some old fanfics of mine), stayed away from writing (okay, I poked at the next chapter of "Changing of the Guard", but not much, maybe a few paragraphs); listened to some inspiring music (The Hilliard Ensamble/Jan Gabarek's "Officium" album. Jazz saxophone and Gregorian/medieval chant combined. One of the houseguests seems to like it.); watched the "good" parts of "Catwoman" (I'm doing a mini-film festival, in anticipation of "Sahara" coming out on DVD on Tuesday. Based on that, I'll give you three guesses as to what are the good parts of "Catwoman". Benjamin Bratt doesn't count, though he'd be one good reason, just not the one I'm thinking of...). Went to Mass with my folks, and actually didn't get anNOYed by chatty old ladies in front of us (St. Francis is pretty good about people being quiet, but there's always the old ducks who think they can get away with chattering. And then shutting up and acting all good and quiet when one of the parish priests or the sacristan walks by. They're worse than kids that way). Wrote some much-needed to be written emails. Snoozed. Threw out some clutter that was in my way. Took a bath. Played with my mom's parakeet (read: tried to pet him, and got my fingers nipped). Dispelled arguments among Houseguests.
