Therapy sessions and TV episodes
Oct. 4th, 2005 10:26 pmWhew... busy day today, to make up for the montonous, depressing one yesterday.
I had an appointment with my therapist early this afternoon: she'd recently learned some relaxation/accupressure techniques which she thought might help my situation, simple little things like finding a tender spot/pressure point near your collarbone and tapping that, or rolling your eyes clockwise, then counter-clockwise several times. And they *DO* work, as simple as they might seem!
I also snapped up the graphic novella tie-in to Neil Gaiman/Brian Henson/Dave McKean's movie "MirrorMask". I may have mentioned wanting to see that, but the only place showing it is in Cambridge and there's been a rapist posing as a cabdriver who's been haunting Harvard Square, so I figured I'd play it safe. Well, the book makes a very nice consolation prize, but I had my mother "confiscate" it until Hallowe'en, since it's kind of a present for myself (and it was easier on my wallet than the coffee-table size book with the artwork and script).
Nipped into the Lowell library to take care of some renewals... and I also picked up a book I'd been looking for, for quite some time: Stephan Clarke's "A Year in the Merde", a fictionalized autobiography of his crazy experiences trying to get a job in Paris. It's so funny I have to put it down every few pages to keep from dropping the book because I'm laughing so hard. It's causing hilarity in certain sectors of my headspace, and fuming from one Houseguest in particular...
And ooh, tonight's episode of "Supernatural" -- They finally got it right. To quote the tagline: "An Exorcism at 30,000 Feet". Complete with holy water and no less than the Ritualis Romanorum. *AND* they got the mechanics of actual demonic possession down pat, too. I'm proud of the writers! ::Hugs them, pats the Winchester Brothers in their Movie-verse!John Constantine-esque black suits::
