Blown-around errands
Oct. 26th, 2005 12:14 amWhew... catching my breath here, since I've had a wicked busy day.
The appointment with the nurse practitioner went better than some other times: I'd asked my mom to come in with me to referee, just in case... well, I wound up not needing her, for some odd reason. Not sure when exactly I'll go back, since the next time I'd be sure to be free for another appointment is January (November and December are the crazy months here, for me and my dad) and she didn't have the schedule for next year, so she's supposed to get back to me once she's got an opening cleared.
And the other spooky music CD I ordered finally showed up. I'm curious as to why it took so long, since it was coming from New Jersey, and the other one I'd ordered came within two days of placing the order. Strange...
I had urgent library business in Lowell, so despite the high winds and horizontal rain, I nipped downtown on the bus. Not surprisingly, I saw several destroyed umbrellas, of the collapsible variety, barked up in the gutters, in doorways, caught in trees: looked like the wind gusts had ripped them off the lower part of the handle and carried them away from whoever had been using them.
Finally made the printout of the Red King sigil (ie. the design in Constantine's arm tattoos), and I'll make up the stencil tomorrow night. I just need the tie now... and to get a hair cut, since right now I look like Jared "Sam Winchester" Padelecki's sister.
And I also put up most of the Hallowe'en decorations, inside the house, anyway. I'll put up the outside decos when the weather lets up (which I hope is soon...).
Next up: asking my dad to ask his friend "Raj" the computer whiz at work if he can come and help me set up the new comp: I'd like to get it done by Sunday at the very latest, since the MxO is having a Hallowe'en party of sorts, and I don't wanna miss out on that!
