Whoa...

I'm completely blown away, and I'm only on my first day. Playing the MxO, that is. Tonight I went easy: I just created my character, Mercedes Hannaford, better known as Sieges (thank God they had an option where you could give your female character reasonable looking assets: the screenshots of those 36D mommas I've been seeing were giving me the creeps), and did the Tutorial -- and not to let out too many spoilers, but yet another character from the movies shows up: the Woman in the Red Dress, aka "Scarlett" (Gee, Mouse, could you have come up with a more original name???). Also, I think Ref had something to do with the decor in the Construct: One of the rooms looked like the Merv's office, even had one of those riDICulous busts (you know the ones I mean...).

Oh, and I poked around in the Matrix for a bit: no missions juust yet, maybe Wednesday or Thursday night, once I meet/surpass my writing quota.

Fannish blathering: Back when the sequels were in production, I almost, *almost* signed up when Warner Brothers was looking for 2,000 young people between the ages of 20 and 30 to play extras, only I'd have to relocate to Australia for a while. When the sequels actually came out, there was a tiny, tiny part of me that felt just a little sad that I'd opted not to jump at this chance of a lifetime Well, now I can vicariously make it up to myself. We'll see where this goes...

If I'm short on words, it's because I'm still feeling blown away.

::Pats Sieges, who's a Level 2 already::

Edit to clean up garbled grammar and to add: Sieges just posted the first entry to her LJ... Take a look-see if you like...

Oy... I managed to get it in, after an incredibly busy day. More details in the next entry...

So, in between getting ~1,800 words down on paper, I also had some library business to take care of in Lowell; I also found the RENT original cast album and got that out before someone beat me to it. My mom had a book that needed to be picked up at the gift shop at St. Joseph's, and she wanted me to try ordering a book at the Barnes and Noble (Can't say what it is since it's someone's Christmas present), but they couldn't even find it in their computer system. I know Waldenbooks sometimes has odd/discontinued stuff, so I sojourned out to Burlington, to see if they might have it. No such luck there, either, and I spotted Book Four of Fullmetal Alchemist, but I have to keep my spending on a short rein: I need some new black corduroy pants for the winter, and I need to start saving for Christmas. ...Not to say that I didn't get a little shopping in today, I just can't say what I bought.

I *did* nip into EBGames, looking to see if they might still have any copies of the PC version of "Enter the Matrix". But all they had were the PS2 and X-Box versions, phooey. Then the clerk tried to sell me the new game that just came out "The Matrix: The Path of Neo". Considering [livejournal.com profile] he_dreams_awake's concerns about it, I'm a little on tenterhooks about buying/playing that (I gotta get EtM first, and build up some XP for Sieges). When I turned the clerk down on that one, she tried to sell me the MxO for a quarter, so I had to tell her I just started playing that one. But I took a look at the PoN strategy guide. Yum... I love the artwork in it: it's a lot better-looking than the EtM strategy guide was. Cut for spoilers: if you're gonna play PoN, don't click this link )

Once I got home, we had a trip to the Tewksbury Library. I didn't get much out, mostly more classical CDs. My mom was at the Holy Hour at St. Will's while I was at the library, so my dad and I picked her up on the way back home... and for some wierd reason, the sacristan locked the doors, even though the Holy Hour was in progress, so when we arrived to pick her up, I couldn't get in. Finally, however, the sacristan unlocked the doors.

Watched the next episode of "Supernatural", entitled "Bugs" (What is this with Warner Brothers and bugs lately?). Good episode, but the ending was a bit lame, but that's just my opinion.

I'm tempted to go on the MxO, but I owe my AIM pals some quality time... ::Fires up Trillian::
