Cooking and reading and typing

Finally finished typing a very important piece I promised to he_dreams_awake, which he's going to read tomorrow night on Radio Zero-One ( ::Points to the link in her link list:: ). If you're curious about the backstory on the Exiles among the headspace dwellers, now's you chance to find out.

I've been taking it easy tonight: I poked at the next chapter of "This Shouldn't Be Happening...", but I couldn't get the creative centers in my brain to jump-start. So I've been reading, a little bit of this and that: pieces from the Tao Te Ching, and parts of Allison Dubois's "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye"; this has to be one of the best books I've read on being a sensitive. I first found out about Mrs. Dubois when my mom started watching the TV series "Medium", and when I spotted this book in the Barnes & Noble, I had to get my hands on a copy, partly because I'm intrigued by this talent, of being able to communicate with the souls of the departed, and also because I'm curious as to how accurate the TV show is.

Ooh... And I cooked a chocolate cream pie for St. Valentine's Day. It's currently setting in the fridge, but it looks like it came out pretty good! But the proof'll be out tomorrow...

Wierd. Windows just tapped me about some update patches required for the OS on this comp, so I downloaded those a couple of minutes ago. And now the MxO client has an update going through, though I was aware that this was going to show up sometime soon.

And this I bring you more howlers from the Update Notes (Some of these are from the previous update, but I somehow neglected to post them):

"Bug causing Bells gang members to spawn in the ground has been fixed." Waah. That's gonna remove one of the funny sights that I've seen while running around Richland. I have a bunch of funny screenshots of gang spawn doing wierd things which I should post to the faction forum...

"Devs stopped using bleach on Plain Black Slacks" -- This has been one of the running jokes on the MxO forum.

"Devs hidden stash of bleach has been found and destroyed (More black clothing fixes)" -- Sounds like something I'd write to spice that up.

"The Merovingian has become more possessive (Grammar error at the beginning of the "Meet the Merovingian" mission has been corrected)" -- Gad, what does he want now? The real world as well as the Matrix?! (Yes, this caused hilarity among the Houseparty).

"Short jackets now maintain the correct texture when worn by medium-build females." -- This made me snerk, but I'm not sure why.
