Mission of the day
May. 21st, 2006 01:04 pmThat would be catching a parakeet.
No, my mother's bird Merry hasn't escaped from his cage. Something interesting happened yesterday when I was walking to work.
I was walking past the house of our neighbors on the other side of the brook, when I noticed a yellow bird on their front window's bird-feeder. I thought it was a goldfinch, but it looked like it had a different shape and it didn't have any black on its wings. So I went to get a closer look...
And discovered it was a little green and yellow parakeet which apparantly had gotten loose from somewhere. When I got home after work, I told my folks about it, and my dad said, "That's your mission for tomorrow: catching that little bird."
