matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Lambert in B&W)
My brain is royally frazzled from work, so I'll be posting this entry in bits and pieces as they come to me.

Sunday was inventory night, and thank God I did the bread aisle this year, same as I did last year. Unfortuately, this meant having to work with the apathetic kiddies who work the afternoon shift. I had forgotten how obnoxious they are. And then I had to work an early shift the next morning, plus I have a full week in addition to the extra time Sunday, so right now, I'm getting close to being overdosed on work.

Interesting thing that "Austrian", one of my best buddies in the MxO said in Xfire when I was chatting with him and telling him about some of my work woes: "I have never understood why customers confuse "patronage" with "patronizing". Then when I told him some of my war stories about really nasty customers: "Good heavens, I'd rather be deployed for another tour of duty in Afghanistan than put up with such behavior!"

Finally finished reading "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell", and I actually ended up giving up a night on the MxO and also stayed up late just to see how it ended. I wonder if Susannah Clarke is considering writing a follow-up to it, since it seemed to end on a question mark...

Other MxO news: we finally ran the climax of our three-month long epic campaign set in the Real. And now there's a huge hole in the middle of command central at our faction's outpost. And one of our captains is going to have some explaining to do for all that.

Christmas news to come in a bit... I need something to drink, badly.
