On a religious retreat

As of Thursday evening, I'm heading to a women's retreat at St. Benedict's Abbey in lovely, rural Stillriver, MA. Not sure if I posted about it earlier, but I realised I'd better let you all know about it before I left. I've been so low lately, I've started to fear that I've got you worried about me between posts. I'm hoping this helps me find some answers to my problems, but right now, I'll admit I have my doubts. St. Therese of Liseaux, "the Little Flower", used to call herself the Christ-Child's "little ball", and when something painful would happen, she'd say, "He threw me really hard that time". Right now, I feel like the Christ-Child's plushie and He's pulling the stuffing out of me; I just wish His Mother would do what any wise parent does when a child is being rough with a toy: take it away from him until he can play nicely with it.
