Home again!

Feeling very rested in body and soul now, despite the fact that I couldn't get to sleep last night since the military base in the valley below the monastery was having a band concert or a dance: Try falling asleep when they're blaring AC/DC covers and it isn't even the ones you like; if it hadn't been that we were supposed to be keeping silent the whole time (up to and including having to pass notes to the layman who'd organized the retreat, if we needed something), I would have stuck my head out the window and hollered, "Hey, can you at least play 'Back in Black' or 'Highway to Hell'?"

Made a general confession yesterday, but I'll admit, after my last confession going so badly, I admitted to the priest that I was terrified of confession now. And believe me, he was as good a confessor as the last one was horrid. The image of the Good Shepherd gently coaxing the lost sheep out of a clump of bushes came immediately to my mind.

Did not buy the last copy of Deathly Hallows at Market Basket when I went to pick up my check and my schedule just now. I'm thinking I'd really better start getting stuff out to publishers/literary agents, since my hours got cut *AGAIN*, as if I'm being punished for taking a vacation.
