Finally feels like fall!
Sep. 29th, 2007 01:27 pmThe wretched hot weather that had been plauging us the past few days is finally gone, and it finally feels like fall out there!
Did a little Hallowe'en shopping/browsing yesterday: got a couple soundtrack CDs at the Barnes & Noble in Burlington, the soundtrack to the Francis Ford Coppola version of "Dracula" (I have a love-hate thing for that movie: the art design and editing are exquisite and the script comes a bit closer to the Bram Stoker novel than most other versions, but the acting is uneven, except for some of the minor characters, particularly Tom Waits as a completely batty Renfield) and also "Van Helsing" (okay, not the greatest movie in the world, but I had fun watching it; also, it lead me to think that Hugh Jackman should be handed the role of Harry Dresden if they ever do a big-screen version of the Dresden Files). Finally got the Hallowe'en stuff store in the Burlington Mall and got one of Midnight Syndicate's wonderful CDs. I think this year's Hallowe'en yard Spooktacular Spooktacular will be even bigger and better than last year's.
Also, my hours have regulated to something reasonable: this past week I got about twenty hours and this week coming, I've got nineteen. A little more than my stress level can take, but financially, I'm relieved.
