My first LJ icon ever, which I still have, was a trimmed down version I made of one of the posters for Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ". The movie was about to hit the theatres when I opened my LJ account and I was eagerly awaiting it, plus it was almost Lent, so I figured it would make a good seasonal icon.
My current default icon is another religon-linked-to-movies image, namely, the statue outside the storefront chapel of Our Lady of the Immaculate Heart in the Rouge City sequence of "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence" (Icon by Lady Neferankh :: Bows to its maker:: ). I wish Spiels had done more that bit, but hee, that's what fanfiction is for...
