matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Neil_Gaiman)
I scored a very hard to find item on Amazon.com, namely, Neil Gaiman's novelette "Odd and the Frost Giants", which he wrote for Britain's "World Book Day", an annual event to encourage kids to explore the joys of reading. I remember Neil writing about this one on his blog, and it sounded so nifty, I had to get a copy. The catch is, there's no reports of it being printed over here in the near future, but there's always getting it online. I've been trying for a couple of months now to get a copy, but it seems each time one pops up, someone beats me to it. Until this morning: I scored a copy for three dollars US. The shipping might jack it up, but it is worth the trouble it took to find it. I'd camp out by my mailbox to wait for it, but it's a leetle cold out there just now... Seems the warmest spot in the house is -- yep! -- in front of the comp.

And dragons: my second pink grew up! But the rest are being stubborn... come on, eggs, crack...
