Wow, an entry that isn't NGE fanfic...
Sep. 10th, 2009 12:25 amThough I do have a couple NGE-related announcements: the lovely pic in the background of the new autumn-colored LJ layout is a frame from NGE, specifically the bit in Episode 21 when Yui breaks the news to Fuyutsuki that she's dating Gendo Rokubungi (or however the hell that man's last name is spelled).
And also, something interesting happened to me when I was at Blockbuster Video the other day: they'd just liquidated their anime section ( :: Hisses with anger:: ), and what to my wondering eyes did appear on the very top of a bin of bargain-priced DVDs, but their copy of End of Evangelion. I couldn't snatch it up fast enough, and now it has a happy home next to the DVD set of the rest of the series.
Not much in the way of news, otherwise: my allergies are acting spotty. And as it gets cooler, we have little guests in the form of mice sneaking into the house looking for a warm place to spend the winter: they were having mouse races on my ceiling Sunday night and one thought he'd try and join us in the dining room for a snack this evening (My dad set a have-a-heart trap for the little intruder).
And our neighbor "Adele"'s dog wanted to come visit us: My mom had gone out to run some errands while I was at work, and when she came home, the dog was on our back deck wanting to come in. He's a bit frisky, so he might scare our birds, so she sent him home.
