Out of Cabbages
Mar. 16th, 2006 04:35 pmThe produce department ran out of cabbages today at 11.30 a.m., and it's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow. They're supposed to get another shipment in by tomorrow, but considering the fact that one-third the town is Irish (the other thirds are Italian, and Miscellaneous) and I've been bagging an incredible amount of corned beef all week, it's probably not gonna be too pretty if the shipment doesn't show up.
Which reminds me, I have to get my Co. Clare tartan scarf out of the cedar chest and dig up my "Irish Princess" hat. Oh, and see if I can't swipe a green jacket from the produce department when I go in to work tomorrow.
Looks like we're going to the Flower Show tonight, and I might be going with my dad Saturday night, when he waters the exhibits he helped set up, which means I'll be there after hours, but that's always interesting to watch the exhibitors trimming up the wilted leaves and blossoms, and it's always fun to chat with them.
And I think I might have finally found a way to connect all the slightly disjointed bits I wrote for the next chapter of "This Shouldn't Be Happening..." Considering the "PHUN" we've been having in DegSep lately, with the RPF goofiness, I'm tempted to link that one up, along with the cut scenes that I couldn't fit anywhere in the storyline. Anyone care to fanart TSBH? (Tastefully, s'il vous plait...) I confess (Forgive me, fandom, for I have sinned...), Mpreg is my fannish guilty pleasure, though I'm not exactly sure why. Granted, it squicks me, but I can't help getting a certain horrified giggle out of it, too.
