We Own a 'Camper"
Aug. 3rd, 2004 12:16 pmJust to show that I post about more than stuff that bugs me...
We now own a 'camper', or at least that's what we're calling it. One of the Spanish guys my dad works with at his semi-old job owned this 1980s full-sized Ford van with a raised roof, a rear seat that folds out into a bed, even a built-in TV (I'm hoping we can hook up a DVD player to it). Trouble was, the city where his buddy "Hector" lives is cracking down on people parking vehicles on the street in places that are not designated as parking spaces, so "Hector" had to get rid of the van. And my dad has always wanted to get a camper or something like it for when he drives down to Pennsylvania for the car shows, etc. Technically, it ain't really a camper, but if some friends of ours who travelled cross-country in a mini-van with a baggage thing on the roof can call their vehicle a camper, I think we can safely call a full-sized Ford van with a raised roof et al. a camper!
