matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Dresden Files)

My winter boots sprang a leak today when I was walking home from work through the tail-end of the maddening rainstorm that hit us today, so my dad took me up to the Rockingham Mall in sales-tax-free Salem, NH: bought a lovely, *lovely* pair of grey boots that are just the right size and weight, and the price was even better, since they were marked down on clearance! This left me a little money over to -- yep -- browse around the Borders bookstore, where I got the previous volume of "The Dresden Files".

Also in the middle of working on the still-untitled "vampire mafia" romance novel. If anyone has any suggestions for a title, I'm open to ideas. The plot so far goes something like this:

Dana Nosfer, the pampered pet of the "queenpin" of a mafia family of vampires, is enjoying the good "life" of a prince of the undead, when a chance encounter with a rival family of preternatural gangsters nudges him into the company of Theda Theristus, a Harvester, whose task in life entails collecting the essences of rogue preternatural beings. Theda herself takes notice of him, as she continues to recover from the loss of a love during a gang war. But her father's over-protectiveness and a gang rivalry could divide this pair even before they begin a new existence together...

Ooh, sounds good...of course I WOULD enjoy a gangster story- never pass up one of those! When I look for titles I tend to listen to songs that put me in the mood of the story I'm writing, and pick out a lyric or whatever to title my piece. Just a suggestion.
Cal: "What d'ya mean y'like a gangster story?" (polishing her Old Reliable in a calm steady manner)
Me: "Um...nothing, Cal..."
