Last entry before the convention...
Sep. 3rd, 2004 10:42 pmWent to Mass and confession with my mom this morning. Printed out a piece I helped her write for a new magazine coming out which relies on readers' contributions (I wish more places would do that...). Other than that, it was a very quiet day. Except...
I got the last pieces of my costume earlier tonight and tried it all on: It. Is. *PERFECT*! (Of course, the "Matrix" series is a great costumers' series: there's so many great archetypal costumes in it, and a lot of them aren't too hard to throw together from basic stuff. What made it hard in my case was finding stuff at reasonable prices.)
Now all I have to do is pack my bag for tomorrow, practise my T'ai Ch'i a couple times, get a good night sleep, get up before 7 a.m. tomorrow (I should have no trouble doing that!), practise my T'ai Ch'i again, have breakfast, shave under my arms, get dressed, wash my hair and slick it back, and be off with Mark. We're taking the train into Boston just in case traffic is crazy: Wow, or rather 'WHOA!' That'll fit in with yours truly's "Matrix" theme! [Fannish kidding] I just hope the Trainman doesn't give us any grief. [/Fannish kidding]
More "Matrix" fannish news: yesterday was Keanu Reeves's birthday. Neo is now 40 years old; I find that very hard to believe, he looks so *young*! Must be good genetics or something. By all accounts, he's a very down-to-earth guy, humble enough to admit he ain't the sharpest crayon in the box.
