matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Chibi!Desire)

Feeling a little better since I made the decision just to take the rest of the summer off from MxO. Hopefully by then the Zionite kiddies who apparantly are bullying the Merv players will have calmed down by then. I'm finding stuff to keep my mind off that and off the depression. I've been watching more Trinity Blood episodes and chewing up rocks (ie. mining) in EvE. Also found a new guilty pleasure in reading, namely Silouette Romance's Nocturne series, ie. paranormal romance novels. Kind of light, yes, but it's a little shocking that these things seem to have more plot than some of Laurell K. Hamilton's stuff...

And a friend of my mom's has sent us a Christmas-in-July card, which inspired me to dig out my Christmas CDs for a day.

*is pleased with self about winning one more person over to the Trinity Blood camp* Seriously, as animes go it's somewhat underappricated. I'm still curious to read your take on it, since there's some hints that I thought that a Catholic might have problems with. What episode are you up to by the way?

I think you're onto something good: Sometimes we just need to step away from what's bothering us and let it leave our "active" brains so we can best deal with it later. Dwelling too much on something causes us, often, to lose sight of what we're actually thinking about.
I hope we're able to talk to each other more (well, once my internet gos back up- it's vanished and if it weren't for the 24-hour coffee shop on the corner I'd be sunk). Talking with you the other week really helped my own psyche, and made me realise how much I missed your little head-menagerie.

So far, I'm up to Episode 6, and as of now, my thoughts on the Catholic elements are so detailed, I'd have to save them for another post. But I'll say this much for now: it comes a lot closer to real-world Catholicism than Hellsing does, and there's times when I start to wonder if the script-writer read Warren Carroll's "A History of Christendom".
