TV round-up: 2007 season so far

matrixrefugeeBeen a while since I commented on what I've been watching, and I've been busy, either working insane numbers of hours at work, or reading "House of Leaves" (scary as all hell... well, the parts involving the Navidson Report; Jack's footnotes make me want to give the guy Norplant, but that's just me) or playing MxO -- which has picked up quite a bit lately. But there's a few things worthy of note:
--"Shark": i started watching this mostly because James Woods plays the lead, but I ended up becoming a fan of the moral conundrums that pop up in the storyline. Hoping they have some better writers this season, and so far so good.
--"Criminal Minds": They're shaking this up immensely, and not always in ways that I like. I want the email address of whoever thought to have Hotchner and his wife careening towards Splitsville so I can give them a piece of my mind. I hate divorce plots. They're beyond overdone, and I'd like to see some marital rocks of stability. ...But there again, I fangurl Hotchner, so hey, I'd be good for him since I'd see him as the knight in armor battling dragons that he is. (Hey, I can dream, non?) I was concerned they'd have the Mandy Patinkin character off himself, the way they played up the bits with his suddene disappearance, but the way they had him pretty much just ride off into the sunset was a relief.
--"Supernatural": First episode of the season tonight. Yipes... quite a notion with having the Seven Deadly Sins show up. And YAY! They finally used my all-time favorite AC/DC song (which would be "Hell's Bells"). I'm getting a bit concerned, though: the show seems to have added it's own canonic Mary Sue; what is up with the blonde that stabbed the posessed people with that demon-killing dagger? I hope she has some good character development, because my Sue-dar is starting to twitch, and I don't like it when my Sue-dar starts to twitch.
