Writer's Block: Swine Times

I'm not so much worried, as I'm in "Oh, crud!" mode. Two cases were reported in Lowell, the next town over from where I am, and I've been back and forth there on the bus twice this week. I doubt I'll contract it if I play it safe: wear vinyl gloves and/or a surgical-type mask at work (If I can *FIND* surgical masks), wash my hands thoroughly, etc. This is one time that no one should fault me for staying close to home, if things do get to pandemic levels and the CDC, etc. start ordering people to cut all unnecessary travel. And I wish they'd issue a few quarantines: I remember when my mom used to babysit; I swear "Angelica" had one cold/case of the flu a year and it lasted from October to May, so considering how many errant vectors she spewed all over us, I can see the intrinsic value in keeping the infectious isolated from the healthy.
