Either my sinuses have flared up royally, or I have another cold >.< At least I have today off, so I can rest a bit and try to recuperate (though I'll probably wind up nose-deep in more fanfiction). Sad thing is, I only have one day of work this week, so I've either got to have another little talk with my boss, or I need to find another source of income: I've noticed that LiveJournal is now working in tandem with another new print on demand service, so I'm wondering if I should try and get moving with some older projects, case in point "Motion to Deactivate", which began life as a crossover between "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence" and a small bit in "The Animatrix: Second Renaissance, Part One", and which I'd later filed all the serial numbers off...

Other than that, it's been fairly quiet all weekend. I've started to get worried that I scared people away from this journal, what with the copious amount of fanfic I've been posting. I'd post it to the usual places (fanfiction.net, the one or two NGE comms I frequent), but the fragmentary nature of the beast gives me reason to be prudent and wait on that. Maybe I'm limiting myself by following the 31_days prompts, though I'm having too much fun matching things up to said prompts. Maybe I should find more prompt comms and try working with what they have to offer. I know how the story begins, I just have to commit it to the page and in the meantime, I have to work out a few logic bugs.

Hmm...a) Keep doing what's working. 31_days is working for you, it seems. Don't give it up - but be willing to try more things.

b) What kind of prompts do you like? Tables? There are all sorts of comms for that, and I know a lot of them because I like to find those things. ^^

Hee, thanks for the well-wishes! The cold/sinus trouble is more of a nuisance than anything else, but the kind thoughts help ease the burden.

I've looked at some of the ones with tables and while that might be a bit awkward, it makes it a lot more organized, and I'm open to trying something different and I'm very open to any recommendations for the best ones to try.

Lessee...fanfic100 is the classic table community.

150_comms isn't up to date anymore, but if you're willing to wade through dead comms, they have a bunch of tables and communities to look through.

6impearfics has awesome prompts. The prompts are based off of perfumes, and no, you don't need to write about perfumes.

I dunno is nospeakingrule would appeal to you, but it's a neat idea. Same with platonicism.

Finally, a bit of self-promotion, thousandtables is a comm I run with lots and lots of tables for those who want variety.

Definitely joining thousandtables and 6impearfics; I've never bought any BPAL scents (yet), but they have the most awesome names! nospeakingrule sounds clever, but would be a huge challenge since there's a *LOT* of talking in this series, and platonic wouldn't really fit at all, since this, at it's core, a love story and a story about love that I'm writing (I've noticed that, ultimately, Evangelion is a story about love in all it's forms, healthy and otherwise). Thanks for the recs!!
