And that's me all over, though I'm perfectly fine with a little character drift, or showing a character in a situation where they're a bit different than we know them from the series, though still recognizable (given that a lot of real-world folks tend to wea masks, as it were, it stands to reason that some folks from other universes would, too). Wouldn't be me if I didn't get a bit ticky with some of the questions: lumping lolicon, shounen-ai and Mpreg all into the same bucket is a bit annoying, but there again, Mpreg is my guilty pleasure of choice and I've been writing in a fandom that features plenty of overt and subtle slash elements. Lolicon I tend to regard askance, but it's a personal thing (even still, there are some pairings which make me nervous about the people who think that's a good idea).

The True Fan
OOC is blasphemy, canon is everything.
Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. You take fanfiction quite serious and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out.
You are probably a walking dictionary of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it.
You rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them than creating new characters or mix up the situations they are in.
