The second of ten prompts for centi_50. I'm having a blast writing these postage-stamp-sized fics. And yep, that's a new icon featuring a certain pair. I have to admit to getting a jag out that particular moment (say what you will about Edward MacLeod's voice: he had just the right amount of deviousness, glee, and lust in his delivery of Muraki's line).

“There was one girl I wanted to make love to. I died before I could…” Tsuzuki’s violet eyes grow misty.

“Come, you must have found another.”

Tsuzuki shakes his head, blushing but sad.

Muraki’s smirk grows more devious, if that’s possible. “What about… another male?”

“Of course not!” A nervous sweat breaks out on Tsuzuki’s brow.

Muraki chuckles in his throat. “Delightful: I have a taste for virgins. Purity is impossible to resist: it’s intoxicating.”

“Cut the crap, Muraki!”

“Mmm, no more words, only gestures.” Muraki stoops over his prey.

As a hard-core Muraki/Tsuzuki shipper, this fic just made my day. :) I love the idea of a Tsuzuki as a virgin, and how Muraki exploits that fact. It would've been fun to read more, but I suppose you had to mind the word limit, so here's to perhaps expanding this into a full fic?

Anyway, the only problem I had reading this was how "disjointed" the drabble felt, but this might be due to the 100 word cap-- I know I have thos problem myself.

Lastly, sorry, for the long, rambling comment and nit-pickiness!

Heh, I'm with you on it feeling disjointed. Sadly, I had to cut this ficlet down by at least a third in order to get it to fit the 100 word limit, and thus a lot of clarifying action lines got cut, plus some dialogue had to be rewritten to fit. I'm planning to either:

1. Repost the uncut version (I drafted this longhand, which makes restoring the cut text fairly easy) or

2. Remix it a little and add it to another fic of mine which I've been working on extending past the original "fade to black" ending.

Somehow I've always imagined Tsuzuki to be a virgin on either side of the line between life and death: it adds a whole level of "Aww, sweet" to his innocence and cuteness (I suspect Muraki, on the other hand, lost his virginity at a fairly young age; no doubt it involved his grandfather packing him off to Kokakurou "so the boy won't develop any strange notions about sex").

Personally, I've always thought of Tsuzuki's "innocence" as a facade, to cover up his angsty side at least. But as to sexual experience, I'd agree that he could possibly be a virgin-- somehow I don't think his mental state lent much to being able to have an "adult relationship", while he was alive. (Also, as to Muraki, hurrhurr, we all know how well that worked out.)

:: Smirks:: Well, it was more a case of "Make sure his first time is with someone who knows what they're doing, rather than leave him to fumble through it with someone just as inexperienced and thus avoid having him think there's something wrong about the whole affair, whichever way he swings". I'm planning (among many other ideas...) a pair of fics (possibly three) featuring a pre-series (and thus much younger) Muraki going over his grandfather's personal effects after the old man's death and touching on his memories of a conversation in which he "came out" to his grandfather, in which the older man was surprisingly accepting of his grandson's proclivities, though he does charge the youth to maintain discretion (heh...) in his affairs...

I agree about Edward MacLeod's voice as well...definitely fits the character!

I gotta admit, when I started watching the anime, I wasn't completely sold on Muraki's dub VA... but he just captured the essence of this extremely weird freak so well, that his performance just grew on me after a while.

I may be posting the M rated version soon: I've got one or two other fics to post first since I tend to post things on a "first completed, first posted" basis".

Hmm, I think it would make for an amusing scene if Yukitaka found out about his grandson's similar affections for a certain young man with amethyst eyes

:: Evil smirk, adjusts half-rimmed eyeglasses:: Eee, yes, writing this pairing can be damned hard, since there's often something wryly funny about them. I was smirking a *lot* as I wrote this (I think I used the word "stoops" toward the end in the sense of a predatory bird crouching over it's prey -- especially since I'd recently learned that one possible translation of Muraki's first name is "peaceful hawk", depending on what kanjii is used -- but as with anything, it's very open to interpretation...)

For the record, I shuddered a bit when Muraki said he preferred virgins and that purity turns him on. I wanted to say in response, "Yeah, you probably ran through a couple of them. Haven't you, you creepy yet lovable bastard?"

In my personal opinion I believe that TsuXMur has been DONE TO DEATH. (Maybe it's the fact that our dear Doc doesn't know whether to kill Tsuzuki or to ravish him. Maybe both. Maybe it's because I prefer OriXMurXUyk. I don't know.) But I do admit I find something darkly humorous about this couple. (But then again it's darkly humorous about The Doc. Mmm, this was a very shudder-inducing fic to write, and I pretty much intended it this way.

I've actually started RPing as Muraki on a multi-fandom, cross-media RP here on LiveJournal, and even though we've got a Tsuzuki, I'm deliberately keeping them separated, partly for this very reason, ie. that the pairing has been played out (though I admit, I have a train-wrecky fascination with the power-play involved between these two). His head is a very scary place to get inside of, but I've been having an immense amount of fun exploring it, even when I stumble on things that make me scream for various reasons... or things that make me go, "Aww, poor little guy, no wonder you're such a mess -- waitaminnit! Who am I wibbling over?!"

And... if I could come up with more ideas based on the prompts, I've taken up the 30_kisses challenge and devoted it to a certain pale beast and his frail beauty. I should be posting shortly, since I've got one or two finished, it's just a matter of getting the impetus to type up the drafts...

Speaking about RP's... I read your parts. It's intriguing. (Apparently your are implying that the Doc has "piercings" in another place other than his ears. I'm tinkering with this fic even now: I've been tempted to add it onto a remix I've been planning for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" (a fic which I wrote back in the winter, obviously), or simply expand on it. This is one of my personal favorites, but I love it so much I can't decide how to rework it! :: Laughs::
