matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (YnM -- 003)
[personal profile] matrixrefugee
Since life is being full of unpleasant lately, whether its wondering if Mrs. Tolliver has invaded LiveJournal, given the sense of entitlement comments on the maintenance comm, or getting my head thrown out of whack when I did my income taxes. I swear, the forms for the State tax get more complicated every year. Ugh...

But... I come bearing a fragment of a fanfic which I doubt will ever be developed into a full length fic

"Untitled and Unfinished Dresden Files/Yami no Matsuei fragment"

NOTE: Short bit of dialogue between Harry Dresden and Thomas Raith about one of Thomas's nephews who's in the same age range as the two of them

"So where does your nephew fall on the scale of vampires?" I asked Thomas

"Well, technically he's White Court since he's my older sister Yukiko's son, but he's on the fringe of the family since she ran away from my father and settled in Japan, where her mother was born. And he doesn't quite have all the cool abilities as a full White Court member."

"So what does that make him, a sick-shade-of-pale-green Court vampire?"

Thomas gave me a "didn't you ever have a decent box of Crayolas" look. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Jade Court vampires come from somewhere in Asia."

"I wouldn't call Kazutaka a Jade Court vampire, not on a geographic basis alone. You're better off not knowing what Jade Court are like." They had to be pretty damn freaky to cause the squicked look on my brother's face.

"Okay, so if he's not quite a full-fledged White, would that make him an Off-White vampire?"

"Now you're just being silly. And if he heard you say that, there's a fifty-fifty chance he'd either laugh while looking down his nose at you, or he'd find creative ways to make life painful for you."

"Tell him to take a number and expect it to be in the high double digits, if not the triple digits."
