Okay, that explains everything...
Jul. 3rd, 2005 09:31 pmWell, I know why I felt so miserable yesterday: I'm coming down with the headcold which the woman who did my hair had. [Ranting](Lesson to people who work in beauty parlors: If you have a cold, either take a day off from work, or wear protective gear, ie. a surgical-type mask and vinyl gloves. That way, you won't be getting the customers sick, which could make them not want to go back to your shop...)[/ranting] I've been taking it easy and zealously taking Airborne, which seems to be beating the symptoms into submission.
Good news -- great news, actually, among the Houseparty: at 12.23 this morning, Blaise Arnaut Lambert Francis Merovee, Ref and the Merv's baby, was born. He's 20 inches long, weighing in at 12 pounds, with his dad's reddish-brown hair and an infantile version of his nose. Mom and baby are doing well: Ref's tired, but she's delighted to hold her son; Blaise himself is getting accustomed to breathing on his own and nursing... and getting used to all these strange beings around him. There was a bit of a dodgy moment when he was coming out: part of the membrane was caught over his face, but at least it wasn't restricting his breathing (according to Constantine, that's a slightly unsettling sign: if a kid is born around midnight, and the membrane gets caught over their head, it means they might be able to see demons). The elder Merovee couldn't be more pleased: he's acting more insufferable than ever.
Now I have to get used to a crying baby in my headspace. Kid's got good lungs, I'll tell yah...
