matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Merv_Crest)

To the people I live with and/or work for,

Please stop stating the obvious. "It's hot" seems to be some maddening new mantra. It's not going to get cooler if you keep saying it. In fact, it makes it seem hotter to the people who have to listen to you, who are also feeling the heat. Have a little consideration for your fellow man and SHUTTIT!

That said... It turns out the dog that trotted through the store the other day was a beagle, not a basset hound puppy, like I thought. Don't ask me why I get those breeds mixed up...

And the Merv is having one of his pissy fits again, after this showed up on the news site for the MxO, part of their FAQ on the recent merger with Sony Online:

Is The Matrix Online being shut down?

No. The Matrix Online game will continue to offer exciting adventures to all who enter The Matrix. The development team will continue looking at ways to enhance the game play, reduce bugs and improve the overall experience with the additional resources of the Sony Online Entertainment organization supporting them. Many of the people that have been working on MxO have transitioned over to the SOE team.

Which incited an already bothered member of the Houseparty to start muttering acridly about "information leakage" and how "Ze travesty continues...". I keep telling him it shouldn't bug him, but I think our boy is more than a little paranoid. Enzo's attempts at lightening the situation by singing "Who Let the Dogs Out?" reworked as "Who Let the Info out?" didn't cut it.

Whew, it's hot! (Yes, I am that cheesy!)

How can someone get a basset hound mixed up with a beagle? That's like saying my cat is a dog!

"Who Let the Info Out?" That's hilarious! I wish I could have heard that, especially the chorus when the barking noises are made.

It's even funnier, considering that Enzo is a talking hyena, ala C.S. Lewis's Talking Animals in the "Chronicles of Narnia", who provides the comic relief among the Houseparty of characters (original and otherwise) who share my headspace...

Lol, that's quite funny. Boy, don't I get to feel smart!

Heh... I always get Boston Terriers and Bulldogs mixed up. And Pekes. It's those damned faces! They all look like they ran into walls a few too many times!

To think I'm a dog freak.... **Shakes her head in disbelief**
