matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code ("Welcome to my Life")

Quote from Richard Adams's classic "Watership Down", which certainly fits my mood...

The day started out good: I got my paycheck today, and deposited some of it in the bank. *AND* I got started on my Halloween shopping, too.

Then my folks and I went to Wingaersheek Beach, up in Gloucester, one of my favorite places in the state... and someone, probably the town park service, had blown out some of the big rocks at one end of the shore. They were these wonderful, lovely outcroppings of New England granite, and they were great for climbing on. I guess some kid must have taken a tumble off them (If people would just *WATCH* their kids when they're out and about...), so the town eliminated that "hazard", the beasts.

[livejournal.com profile] he_dreams_awake, I managed to put down some free advertising for truthofthespoon.net: I was writing the URL on the sand in foot-high letters, each URL about a hundred feet apart, above the tide line. We'll see if that gets anyone curious... I'm thinking of making up labels (once I get a better computer/printer) with the URL and sticking them in public places (on payphones, in bathrooms, on walls... sound good?

And to add to my feelings of loss, I just found out that there's evidence that a not very famous fellow I'm very fond of may be someone else's private property, if you get my drift. I'm not allowed to say who, though.

WHY DOES THE REST OF THE WORLD HAVE TO BE MARRIED AND I CAN'T EVEN GET A GUY TO LOOK AT ME TWICE?!

Don't do anything stupid mon amie. It is in situations like this that sour grapes can be useful. After all, they say that most marriages these days end up in divorce so the women you're envying are probably going to be bitter divorcees by the time they're 45. The twins are screwing with your head, don't give in to them.

Aww. Maybe I went overboard with my hush-hushness in my earlier post. :/ I was just being a little paranoid since he is so protective about his private life, as it seems. It's okay, sorry if I overreacted on my part about the cloak and dagger stuff. I see you were out so that explains why you weren't on AIM before I went to bed, but I will be on sometime after this again, if you wanted more of those pictures. I wasn't quite sure how to deal with them, as if I post all of them in a row, it's a bit of a give-away. Hence the facepalm icon.

Sounds frankly kickass, in my opinion. Rock on, as usual.

*fwaps you with a toffee almond bar from Starbuck's.* Remember the saw? "Good things come..."? Patience. You're an amazing person. Don't settle for anyone who wouldn't notice that anyway.

And JC has updated. Not so sure that's a good thing...

Any suggestions on images I could use, alongside the URL? (depending on the size of the label, I guess...)

And thanks for the virtual toffee bar: Lord knows I can use it!
