It seems that I miscalculated last night and I missed a chunk of about ~500 words. I hammered out 1,800 and change today, between early this morning -- after I tried going on the MxO last night, only to find out that Recursion, the server Sieges is on was down because of technical difficulties, and then they closed it for service -- later this morning, and just now after work. A brilliant idea came to me while I was bagging, and it wouldn't leave me alone till I got home and I started getting it all down on paper.

I've said elsewhere that this novel is based on the Fanbrat Incident that happened to me over the summer, but I've very heavily fictionalised the account, which includes adding a lot of things that didn't actually happen, but which *could* happen since I've seen things like it happen in the fanficcing world. I want to publish this, in the hope that it counterbalances the dreadful novels written by a certain anti-fanfiction wankster (GAFF people, you know who I mean...) which make fanfiction writers look like lazy losers with no life. The imaginary fanficcers who appear in the novel (Which has no title, aside from the not-so-family-friendly working title "All the Fanbrat's Bitches" -- yes, that's a deliberate play on "All the President's Men"; I did that on purpose since the incident happened right about the time that the true identity of Carl Bernstein's contact, whom a Washington Post editor had dubbed "Deep Throat", was revealed. And yes, the Incident was every bit as messy as Watergate, hence the reason why I was referring to the anonymous person who filled me in on the backstory of the Incident, as "Deep Throat", but let's hope it has much less of an impact on the world at large.) are ordinary but for the most part well-adjusted (whatever *THAT* means...) people: college students, store clerks, a theatre designer, a cook at a restaurant, an LARP game manual writer. Let's hope this creates some positive media exposure for the fanficcing world.

Ooh! Ooh! ooh! Does that mean I get to wear a tacky-coloured poloneck sweater and tiny skirt with unneccessary amounts of glitter? YAY! Er, I'll have to brush up on my cheers, though- all I know are vulgar ones you scream at football matches with a few pints in you...
(Back to online shopping...Hermes...Cartier...Tiffany...*Armani*, bingo!...guess which high-maintenance, expensive head-guest of mine has a birthday today? )

18000??? *faints*

I'm now officially behind even my 1667 words per day quota, and I'm dropping further behind with each day. Last word count was around 15,800. Exams, you see, got to study, you see...

*will try to catch up during the weekend*

Don't feel bad: I'm liable to get behind again tomorrow, since I have a long shift at work tomorrow, and I have housework to do.
