Back to work
Nov. 17th, 2005 06:08 pmAt my day job that is: I managed a little writing this morning (a touching/funny DegSep ficlet based on a goofy little dream I had some time back), in between getting ready to go to work, but I haven't gone back to my NaNoWriMo novel yet. I'm starting to feel a little better now, I'm still coughing and my voice sounds raspier than Tom Waits's, but I'm feeling more like myself -- that might have something to do with the fact that I took a good bath and washed my hair this morning, for some reason, washing my hair always perks me up.
And oh, the local Golden Oldies radio station just started playing Christmas music. They started the Christmas music on the Monday before Thanksgiving last year, and much as I like Christmas music, this is just a little early for me. I'm wondering when the store manager at work is gonna switch on the Christmas music: he put it on right about the same time the Oldies station did last year, and we seem to have the same selection, too, including the two cuts by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra that I utterly fell in love with last year: I dug my Christmas CDs out just now and listened to 'em. "Christmas Canon" still makes me tear up in a good way...
Odd: I just got an review alert email from ff.n, for the "Sandman" Christms fanfic I wrote last year, and that fic was inspired by "Christmas Canon"... what are the odds of *that* happening?

But if you can call them- the (extremely temporary) phone number is 206-246-4101 The room number is 224.
