Finished my Christmas Shopping

matrixrefugee...Except for one small thing for my mom, and possibly one or two things for my dad. I finally finished the aborted shopping for our little feathered friends, Oskar the spazzy cockatiel and Merry the chatty budgie, who has started saying my name. I've only heard him say it once, but according to Mom, he calls out "Renee? ...Come here, Renee." whenever I'm not around. I just have to do my online shopping, and I've got a few things bookmarked. Just waiting for the deposit I made today to clear, which takes 24 hours now, since the bank was having problems with people horribly "floating" their accounts (it's a good, small, local bank, so I can't complain too much about their policies).
Printed out some odds and ends at the Lowell Library, and I've been sorting through some rough drafts of DegSep ficlets, including, but not limited to:
--Two more "White Heat" fics, which I am *definately* getting back to.
--A fragment of a ficlet from the evil subplot, featuring a funeral for the victim of the attempt.
--Cut/Deleted scenes from "The Other Half of the Equation", featuring a meeting of the heads of the various Exile clans, which Ref attends in her...patron's company. As Ref tells me, "It dawned on me that I was the only person in that room whose mind was connected to a physical body."
And I wish the game devs on the MxO would figure out WHY the client keeps crashing. They sent out a patch last week that was supposed to stabilize it, and it was fine for a few days. Now it keeps randomly crashing when I'm/Sieges is in the middle of a mission. Good news for Siegy: she's up to 31 reputation points with her employer. I've been told on the message board that you need 60 rep points to be able to run missions critical to the story line, so she's halfway there.
