Prayers needed for a principal soulbond

I'm asking you all to pray that the game devs do not do what I think they're going to do, because that would be a major pain in the neck for me, and to pray for the Merv's protection. I believe it's possible to pray for arguably fictional personages; they exist at least on a philosophical level. Some friends of mine even offered to pray for a character in a novel I was writing a while back, and I think it helped me (and my character). I'm invoking the intercession of Pope John Paul I (not the recently departed pontiff, but his predecessor), and there's a reason for this: after his sudden, inexplicable death, there were found, among his papers, a collection of letters written to historical figures and fictional characters, as if he were gently counselling them. In my book, that makes him the unofficial patron saint of fanfiction writers and maybe that would apply to soulbonders, too.
But not a word of this to the headspace dweller in question. He doesn't know about it. I checked headspace just after I read this thread last night and found him asleep with Ref nestled in his arms... dang, he looks good when he's sleeping... I'm not sure how much the dratted Tinkertoy affects his world (Hey, it gave us Flood, and he's as much of a tempermental, impatient, snarky pain in the keester as his in-game reflection.), so I'm approaching this with all seriousness, just in case. I want all of you to please pray/send up positive energy/whatever to protect him in his world, and to influence the game devs to leave him alone. He's had a tough life, he doesn't need *this*. Dammit, this is my people's lives you're playing tiddlywinks with, game devs!
To quote he_dreams_awake, "Peace is not an MMORPG". I'm going to see if I can't get him to stay in my headspace, where he's safe, but that's like trying to cage a lion in a shoebox. This might mean laying in a supply of Welch's grape juice. I've been successful so far, and I seem to be suceeding in firewalling the information from him... plus, Ref is, ah, keeping his attention diverted.
