Christmas trees and Valentine's Day lights

Just took down the Christmas tree in my room and started draping red and white Christmas lights over my windows; I'm cool with Valentine's Day this year... doesn't stop me from having that mischievous "anti-Valentine" icon here... Now I just have to take down the decorations around the rest of the house.

Said depressed Redpill would be Sieges. Now she's talking about having herself plugged back in, just so she doesn't have to feel like her loyalties are being torn down the middle and so she can just forget everything. Everyone (me, the headspace dwellers, her in-game comrades) is trying to convince her not to. Poor little thing: she's such a passionate little girl. I hate seeing her get hurt, but some of it is of her own doing. This morning, as I was curled up in bed, reading, I heard her sigh and say, "Maybe I should just stay in here and forget about going out there [ie. into her world]." I told her she'd be hurting herself more if she did that. Wierd how she's so tough in a fight, but when her heart's aching, she crumples...

You're just taking down your Christmas tree? Isn't that normally done on the Baptism of the Lord?

We're a little different: we go by the traditional calender, and technically with that, the Christmas season ends on the Purification of Mary/Candlemas, February 2nd. I just dragged my heels a teeny bit taking my tree down, since I knew I was gonna need to do some major-major vacuuming, what with all the needles that I'd have to pick up, so I rolled it into the regular vacuuming.

I've been trying to get the Merv to reply to your email, but he's taking his dear sweet time...

And it seems that Sieges has gotten out of her funk: She's been power-levelling the past couple nights and having a grand time. Wonder if her change in spirits has anything to do with the fact that her crush has returned to my headspace...
