Where I've been...

Whew!!! Last night's Main Game Scene 22 chat for the "A.I." RP was a BLAST! when people weren't getting knocked offline, including yours truly... Though I think I have that worked out: If I get knocked offline, I'll tap Twink to invite me back into the chat room, since everyone else including me has AIM Lite, whereas Twink has the whole deal, since AOL is her ISP. I hope CompuServe is better about knocking people offline, since I'm planning on using that as my ISP when I get The iMac come Christmas.

I've got a rough copy of the chat log, so hopefully I can start writing up the summary soon; I personally took on the task of writing summaries of the scenes: I'm pretty good at it and it helps me keep the scene straight in my head. Not sure when I'll be able to get to that since I have to work tomorrow night and Saturday. And oooh, we've got a "(BLANK) of the Future" PHUN chat Sunday night... And, and, and... the Chat for Scene 23 next Wednesday night! YAY!!!

Now I have a goal I can aim my meagre savings towards: If I could ever get free week withOUT any unexpected expenses. Like... Undershirts.... and I'm so scrawny, I have to buy mine in the TEEN department!!! ARRRGGHHH!!!!!

Rant over. On to Sci-FiCon plans.

I'm planning to go in costume. I just can't decide *what* character to dress as. I wanted to dress as someone out of the ordinary, so that immediatly axed "Lord of the Rings" and Harry Potter (Harriet Potter? Though I do have that eeeerie physical resemblence to Daniel Radcliffe...) My next thought was the Green Lady from C.S. Lewis's "Perelandra". But there's one problem: she's similar to Eve in the biblical book of Genesis. Ergo, she doesn't wear clothes. And I don't feel comfortable at all with wearing a long green wig and green body paint... and nothing more. If I went with Mark, he would kill me.

Next choice: Orual from Lewis's "Till We Have Faces". Easy: a classical Greek peplos dress and a veil over my face. The question is, will anyone know who I'm supposed to be?

Then there's the other, more obvious ideas: Trinity from the "Matrix" series (me and two hundred other females). I'd need a pair of black leggings and a black sleeveless leotard (I simply can't afford vinyl/leather/PVC right now), plus buying the all important Toy Gun. I had another, stranger thought of cross-dressing as Neo (I dress like him anyway when I'm letting the "Matrix" geek side of me show, minus the "Guns. Lots of Guns".). Or... since I'm part French and I do a spot-on eem-pair-son-a-shun of his accent... the Merovingian. (Nah... I look a *LOT* better than that. But there's no way in hell I'd dress as Persephone.) Or.. Or... Or... Oooh... Gigolo Joe??? (I'm *NOT* that good a dancer, and I'd need green contacts)

I'd better come up with something fast: the convention's Labor Day weekend and I've about a month left...
