The Check is in the Account
Mar. 8th, 2006 01:52 amDeposited the check I got yesterday. Being the fairly frugal person that I am, I'm putting *that* much money aside for any emergencies that arise. Tomorrow, I'll be at work taking back more of my hard-earned cash from the government: as in filing my income tax forms. My reward for that: working on a fanfictionalization of an MxO chat session from the other night.
And while I was downtown dropping off some books and depositing the check, I nipped over to Larry's Comics to see if the errant issues of Hellblazer had ever shown up. Not yet, and I was sorely tempted to get the first volume of Alan Moore's Promethea.
And it isn't often that I ask for prayers, but I've got a big intention that needs to be prayed for:
he_dreams_awake and
allegradestina need to find a place to live very soon. The details are too complicated for me to describe, but they really need a hand up from above: they're a compassionate, hard-working pair who've unfortunately been kicked on their ears by someone they thought they could trust. Call out to St. Joseph and St. Jude and St. Anthony and the Infant of Prague and St. Maximilian Kolbe (my "Uncle Max") on their behalf.
