Therapy and Easter shopping
Feb. 26th, 2007 06:14 pmThankfully, I had an appointment with my therapist today, and I was able to talk about some of the anxiety I've been having to deal with lately. She seems to think it might be wise if I found and joined a support group for people with Asperger's Syndrome. I'm a little hesitant, but I'm almost at the point of desperation when I'll try anything to shake off this constant feeling of agitation. I'm fine if I'm out of the house working or running errands, but as soon as I get home, I find myself turning on the radio or losing myself in a book to block out the hum of Radio Free Anxiety in my head. I wish I could get the Houseparty online in here, but nothing I try to do to get people's attention in there seems to be working.
Needless to say, I did a little Easter shopping at the Burlington Mall this afternoon, and a poke-around the romance novel section at the Waldenbooks there yielded me some possible publishers for the paranormal romance I have currently sitting on my writing pad.
Amusing sight seen while walking through downtown Lowell: the windows of a Mexican cantina with a definately Spanish-sounding name decorated with leprechauns and shamrocks. I couldn't help wondering if one of the owners of said cantina is Irish....
