Tour of a battleship
Mar. 5th, 2007 06:11 pmOne reason I didn't update yesterday: the three of us toured the battleship "John F. Kennedy", which was docked in Boston Harbor and had been opened to the public before it sails to Florida for decommissioning. Very, very impressive sight: the sheer size of the ship is awe-inspiring! The only downside: we had to walk the better part of two miles to get to it, from where my dad had parked the car, and I was (still am) tussling with a tickle in my throat that wants to turn into a full-blown sore throat, so I wasn't quite up to speed... and the wind that roared in off the ocean all of a sudden kind of compounded the problem. I spent the better part of last night trying to thaw out. Yeeks...
